Chicaco SGC conference was great!
April 09 2009
Got back last week from our first venture to a Southern Graphics Council conference and was very impressed wit the turnout and enthusiasm of the many people we met there.
Special thanks to Ed O'Neil and David Jones for organizing it and putting out all the last minute fires that sprang up around the vendors - turned out it was all pretty smooth, and we like smooth.
We sold every copy of 'Screenprinting Today' that our publisher in the USA provided, and I couldn't believe the interest in our presses, exposing systems and the general overall enthusiasm of the many screenprinting instructors and students we met. What I thought was really cool was meeting many people from the USA, UK, and Canada, who I have interviewed or corresponded with or sold equipment to through the years. With the internet, we can build whole relationships over years with people, and never meet them face to face. This conference allowed for that to happen. Great stuff.
Looking forward to next year!
See you at SXSW and SGC

We'll be travelling to Austin and Flatstock 20 Mar.19-22, and then up to Chicago for the Southern Graphic Council convention the following weekend. If you are in the neighbourhood, drop by and say hi!
If you are in Austin during SXSW please drop by the Convention Centre and check out our screenprinting demos. The Flatstock exhibition brings together 100s of the top poster artists working today in the centre of the musical universe - always a good time in Austin! the exhibition is free, and Saturday and sunday we will be sharing the space with a gigantic record and rare guitar swap meet.
We will have a booth set up in Chicago at the Hilton for the vendor fair, and be offering special discounts to educators on equipment and the Screenprinting Today book. this will be our first SGC conference and we are really excited about meeting printmakers from around the USA.
Congratulations!
